Helensburgh
Helensburgh nestles on the north shore of the Firth of Clyde at the entrance to the Gareloch. An area noted for high onshore gusting winds. Rosa were specially chosen as the only manufacturer able to supply natural anodised aluminium columns that withstand the heavy local wind conditions.
The standard Rosa design was able to take the weight of a double luminaire array together with double Christmas lights and CCTV cameras.
The Rosa column is manufactured with a constant wall thickness the whole of its length. This makes it less whippy in windy conditions. Offering increased stability for luminaires and equipment.
Rosa Raise and Lower columns were also used along the sea front in full force of the wind.

The beauty of the columns and their zero maintenance enhances the regeneration project.
Weston-Super-Mare
A tourist magnet for North Somerset, Weston was in dire need of total seafront regeneration. They chose Rosa anodised natural columns with colour change spikes on top and Urbis Hestia offset lanterns.
The 65 columns are exposed to the sea and the sea spray and are permenantly positioned along the esplande to full access to the public.
They remain as beautiful as the day installed with no degradation of the surface.
Bradford
Bradford City had experienced aluminium columns falling over and at the same time very heavy internal condensation.
They chose Rosa anodised columns. They are protected by anodising at 25 microns and the base is enclosed in elastomer.
Rosa also designed a ventilated pole cap in cast aluminium to help release any build up of heat during the day.
Rosa traffic and standard columns are available in 10 colour ways in matt and gloss.
